I have a basic card visual which I placed inside of a text box visual. I have two observations: 1) I cannot select the card visual inside of the text box, I have to reduce the width of the text box until I can see the card visual, and then I can grab the card visual and move it around. I think I have seen where the card visual can be selected while inside of a text box, I just can't find the setting. 2) The card visual does not move when I expand or collaspe the text box.
Below is an example of a card visual inside of a text box.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions to fix or workaround these two items.

Hi @PBIFanHook7 ,

In Power BI text boxes and visuals (like cards) are separate, floating objects on the report canvas. Visually placing one "inside" the other is only for appearance; there is no grouping or containment behavior by default.
Can you please follow below steps:
1. Selecting the card visual "inside" the text box: when a card is visually placed over a text box, it can be difficult to select because the text box tends to block click selection.
Selection Pane: Go to View > Selection Pane. You can click the card visual from the list and manipulate it, even if it's visually behind or within another visual.
Send to back / Bring to front: Right-click the text box → choose Send to back. This lets you click on the card more easily.
Or select the card in the Selection Pane and Bring to front to adjust it, then send it back if needed.
2. Card doesn't move with the text box:
Group the visuals (if using the newer Power BI layout): Select both the text box and the card. Right-click → Group. Now they’ll move together.
Note: This only affects movement—not resizing or dynamic behavior like expanding text. Use the Selection Pane to select visuals easily when overlapped. Use Group to keep them together when moving. There’s no setting that allows a card visual to be functionally inside a text box they're just overlaid.

1. View...Selection...Layer Order (or Format ... Bring Forward)
2. select both visuals, then Format...Group
@PBIFanHook7 , You can add measures in a Text box, unless you need a card because of formatting.
If you need a card only, send the text box back and select both of them and group, that will allow better handling
