Hi,
when ever I create a report using SQL Server or Oracle or any other database in direct query Mode, then how can I see what is the SQL/Query generated and send to database by Power bi/my report.
I don't have access on database level to see the sql it ran.
also how to see what is SQL genereted in case of import mode.
Thanks
@RG007 , there is an old discussion on the same- refer this -https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Check-generated-SQL-query/td-p/156494
Also video from guyinacube- if that can help -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVDIHG4dflM
My question is different, I don't want to see query of a table, I want to see query for visual I have created on report page....Thanks
hi @RG007
To see the query when you open/interact/refresh a direct query report, you need to use SQL Server Profiler tool to get it.
see more details as below:

this way I get DAX query, but I wanted to see corresponding relational query, that would have generated , if it was live connection, that query received by database.
hi @RG007
There is a SQL query in it too.

Lin
In Power Query , you can right-click the Steps of the query and choose View Native Query.
