Hi all, after struggling for a couple of days, I decided to ask this problem on this forum.
So I have a two-layer column which has Current Month, YTD and YE. Under these, I have a second layer of column headings with Budget, Forecast, Plan, and Actual. The problem is I don't want to show Actual and Plan under YTD and YE, as it currently has no data in it, and it shows as a Blank Column. I am unable to delete these columns from the matrix table. Any solution would be helpful.
thanks

If Budget, Forecast, Plan, and Actual are measures, they wil remain visible regardless they have a value or not. You can use a disconnected table with a column containing the measures names and another measure to assign the original measures' values to that column. The table below was created using enter data. Format string is necessary if the measure have different format (eg., whole number vs percentage).Create dynamic format strings for measures
Note: I intentionally exluced L A T A M in from the measure as I don't have a sample data that may return blank only for a specific category.
Notice in the image below that there's no visible column for L A T A M- Volume
Please see the attached pbix

One last thing, can I add comments at the end of my Matrix table? When I add those, either they come under rows or are scattered in the columns. I want to add them separately at the end of the matrix table?
I don't know what you did, but it worked.
Hi @abdullahtunn ,
I’ve used a general example where the data structure includes three columns. When I drag and drop these columns into a matrix (or table) visual to replicate a similar scenario, blank value columns in the matrix or blank rows in the table do not appear.
You might want to double-check your data structure and also ensure that the data type for the "Value" column is defined correctly.
I hope this helps! If not, please feel free to share more details about your current data structure or confirm whether you're using measures.
Thank you!
