How to refresh only new subfolders in Power BI Report with Power Query?

Hello,

I have a folder with subfolders generated weekly, named in the format yyyymmdd. Each folder contains CSV files with identical column headers. I’ve imported all of them into a Power BI report using Power Query and refresh it every time a new subfolder is added. However, because there are tens of millions of rows, the refresh takes a long time. Is there a way to refresh only the newly added subfolder while keeping the previous ones untouched, as they remain unchanged?

Thank you for your help,

Stelian

Hi @Stelian ,

According to your statement, I think you want to only refresh specific tables in your report.

Here I have two workarounds to share with you.

1. You can select the table from latest folder and then use "Refresh Preview" in Power Query Editor.

2. You can right click on the tables and turn off "Include in report refresh"in Power Query Editor.

Then Power BI will only refresh the table which is turned on this feature.
