How to reformat this?

Hi

I store my data in SharePoint list. One the columns in SharePoint is a multiline field that I selected to keep the history of changes in it.

Now, the entries are stored in the column this way:

<div class="ExternalClass40BF3D05A67A4927A9F65435825FEFCD">Email sent to the following address&#58; someone@mycompany.com</div>

Is there a way that I can cleanup the tags and extra stuff so that I just see:

Email sent to the following address: someone@mycompany.com
