How to prevent a record from splitting across two pages when exporting from PBIReportBuilder to Word

Hi all!

I've a table in Power BI Report Builder that I need to export to Word. In Word, the record does not stay on one page but splits across two pages. How can I make sure the record stays entirely on one page?

Hi @Fern_21,

To stop a record from splitting across two pages when exporting from Power BI Report Builder to Word, try wrapping all the fields for one record inside a Rectangle or List control  this helps keep everything together as one unit. You can also group your data by Record ID and turn on the “Keep Together” property, so if the record doesn’t fit on the remaining space, it moves to the next page instead of breaking. Make sure the record’s layout isn’t taller than a single page and avoid large text boxes or visuals that grow too much. Also, check your page size and margins so your content fits properly within the page.

Hi @DivkLearner and thanks for your answer!

I tried inserting the table into a rectangle with page break = true, but when I export it to Word, the header and footer no longer appear. How can I fix this?

Thanks

Hello @Fern_21

I appologies for late reply. As per me it this part is hit and trial. You need to manage the margins, try reducing the size of the table in Rectangle.
