How to make a map shows values on country with gradient color

Hello,

I am using Power BI desk. With the limitation of map visual, I only have shape map and heat map isntalled.  But I need to make a map visual (see below example) using the dataset contains 'value' and 'country/jurisdiction' coulmns (I don't have 5,770 Canada yet). Can anyone help?  Thanks.

Hi @BarbaraYanChen ,

Thanks for the reply from rajendraongole1 .

I tested it and Shape map doesn't recognize these Country, maybe you need to customize it.

I have an alternative that uses Azure Map.

Create an Azure map and drag the Country field to Location.

Next Steps:

Turn off Bubble Layer > Turn on Filled Map > Colors > f(x)  > Format Style = Gradient > Base on [Sum of Value] > Adjust color, Min, Max

For conspicuousness, for the minimum value I use green and for the maximum value I use red, adjust it as you need it in the actual application.

Thanks for providing the alterniative.  Unfortunately, Azure Map is not enabled for my company.  I am unable to see your result.  Anyway, really appreciate your time to help me!

Hi @BarbaraYanChen  - you mentioned you only have the Shape Map and Heat Map visuals

Drag the Country/Jurisdiction column into the Location field well.Next drag the Value column into the Color Saturation field well.This will map the countries and apply shading based on the Value.

For the Shape Map to display properly, ensure you’ve loaded a suitable TopoJSON file for world countries. You can find a free one .GitHub - alexabruck/worldmap-sensitive: TopoJSON worldmap with modified country borders

if still issue exist with shape map, you can consider enabling and using the ArcGIS Maps for Power BI visual.
