Hi,
We've been trying to find a way to load a source from MSSQL once. And then work with this query as a datasource within the Power BI model. We want to re-use the already imported source data from MSSQL. So we have a table and want to duplicate that table and then transform this second table. The transform action is used to unpivot some data in the source table, but we want to keep this source table intact and execute the transform action on a derived table.
Is this something that can be done in Power Query? So you can create a new table of an existing table and use that in your models tab.
Or do we have to do this a completely other way. If there is a videoclip or article explaining this, that would be a big help.
Thanks

So just to be sure, if you duplicate a source table it only executes the query once?
