How to link metrics to a dataset connected to a slider

Hey team

Ive got a report built for a data set that I have

I've linked a metric visual to a card with data on it. I've also got a slicer connected to the data card which filters the data based on date.

When I change the date on the slicer though, the data card updates but the metric does not update to the new value.

How do I get the metric visual to update according to which filters are set on the data card
