I am trying to create a DAX measure called Selected Date that displays the maximum selected date and keeps it static. This means that if Nov 2017 is selected, I want the Selected Date column to show 11/1/2017 next to every month. I'd ideally like to use the 2nd type of slicer (shown below).
My current measure is Selected Date = SELECTEDVALUE('Date'[Month]).
I do not want the Selected Date to change if it is sliced by a Month in a table. How can I do this?

To answer my own question, the DAX query would be:
Selected Date = MAXX(ALLSELECTED('Date'[Month]),'Date'[Month])
