We have a requirement that we need to import powerbi hierarchies into excel. For example Date Hierarchy, in powerbi we auto create date hierarchy like year, quarter, month.
When the powerbi dataset is imported to excel, the date hierarchy which is created in powerbi desktop, is not importing in excel.
Please suggest how to achieve the above requirement.
Hi @naveenam ,
I am not sure if I understood your question correctly. If you export the visual data as excel file, then it will retain the hierarchy.
If you use excel to connect to the dataset, you will need recreate the hierarchy in Excel as the date hierarchy is a PowerBI specific feature.

Winniz
