I have a line chart visual in which i want to show the values by month but the months should be grouped by year as in the screenshoot above, is this kind of grouping (as in the screenshoot above) possible in power BI.
So far what is happening in my visual is that 12 months showing for the 3 years, so janualy 2017, 2018 & 2019 will just appear under one January and is the same for the rest of the months.
I want to show January - December 2017 grouped together under 2017. The same should apply for the rest of the years as in the screenshot above, how can i do this in power BI.
Hi @kadingo ,
Yes we can acheive this by disabling concatenate labels in x-Axis.

I just turned off concatenate labels in x-Axis but it has NOT changed anything, have you tested it with a line chart visual?. I'm using the November 2019 version of power bi desktop.
HI @kadingo ,
You can modify your x-axis type to 'categorical' and turn off 'concatenate labels', then you can set 'sort by' feature on x-axis fields 'year', 'month' to enable group effect.
