How to group data by day

Hi everyone,

Probably a simple question, but I could not find the answer after a lot of searching.

How do I display the data by a specific date,

So I would like to be able to have one heading for the specific date, then display all the data under the one row heading.

Or be able to expand each date/day with a plus sign next to it.

I do not want to summarise the rows in that specific date, just display all the rows for that date.

For example:

Hi  @Johannf78 ,

You can consider using the power bi tooltip to move the mouse over the date to display its grouping information

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-tooltips

Or you can also consider using drill through: select a time of day and group by that time:

Result:

@Johannf78

You can try a Matrix visual with "Datum" in the rows.

Hope it helps!

HI @Johannf78 ,

You can use a table visual in Power BI to display the data in the required format.

But this will depend on what data you have and how it is formatted? Have you got your data at a day granularity or not? etc.

Share some sample data, so that we can help further.
