How to get overall total of the data not just the values in the visual

Hey Team - Im VERY new to Power BI and currently in the state of converting my excel dashboards to Power BI - The Total DC Share is the sum of the values on the table which is straight forward in PBI. But how would i get the total sum of all the Branches in the dataset and not just the ones on the table (total other share)?

Hi @Anonymous ,

It seems you need to create a new column to get that data, because in powerbi it is a column of data that is of the same type. You may use the measure to calculate your other type of sums, you can provide your sample data and expected results.

Hope it helps!

Hi,

You can create a measure which is independent of any filtering you have on the report page. Assuming that your table is called Table, then:

Grand Total = CALCULATE(SUM(Table[Sales $]),REMOVEFILTERS(Table))
