How to force year and month slicer to single selection

Hi,

I want to force my date slicer. I use my calendar table and use date hierarchy as year and month. 
If i choose this, you still can choose whole year as single selection , any way to force that only possible to choose single month not single year ?

You cannot separate year and month in one slicer. As the workaround you may create two slicer with that date column. Date.Year and Date. Month.

That is one possibility but if the year too much for example we want to slicer 25 years, in the drop down/selection there will be 25x12 month which user may find it will be easier if it group into year first and the after select years populate to months, but the problem when select years,it automatically populate to select all months on those years

Please correct me if I wrongly understood your question.

In my opinion, if you need to select only one month in only one year, how about creating Month & Year Column in your calendar table like below? Then, you can force to select only one Month-Year from the slicer.
