How to find the owner/creator of a datasource

I am using BI Desktop.  I found a datasource for QuickBooks Online that I've been using.  I've noticed a couple of things about it that need some work, and I want to get with the datasource "owner" to make my suggestions. It appears that the data source owner/creator is actually Microsoft, based upon an app I found in the store for the service.  How do I find my way back to some team/person something who "owns" this datasource?  Not asking for a friend.......and yes, I realize I'm tilting at windmills.

Hi @twilbour ,

In power bi desktop, when connectting to Quickbooks Online, you need to enter credentials about it to sign in. It means the owner of datasource is Intuit instead of Microsoft.

You can also prove this in power bi service. When you connect it in power bi service, you need to get QuickBooks Online app first. After installing app, you still need to enter credentials about to connect it. Microsoft is just the developer of the app and provide a platfoorm for users to connect not the owner of datasource, the real owner / creater of it is Intuit.

In conculsion, if you want to find the owner / creator of QuickBooks Online, maybe you can contact Intuit directly.

Some related links attached that could hope to help you:

  2. QuickBooks Online app
  3. Connect to QuickBooks Online

Microsoft doesn't own Quickbooks. QB might be using a Microsoft Azure service, but anything related to Quickbooks needs to be addressed to Intuit, who does own QB.

Thanks for the reply

I know Intuit owns QB not Microsoft.  However, the datasource appears to have been developed by Microsoft.  The "twin" of the datasource is available in the app source store for the BI service.  It shows published by Microsoft.  I'm just trying to get back to whomever did that development.  Search app sources from the BI service for QuickBooks Online.
