I need to filter a table to include only Commercial Vehicles and Non-Commercial vehicles and then get a count of yes from a different column. So far I can only get either Commercial or Non-Commercial not both. Here is what I have as my statement. I am sure this is an easy one for the power users. I am still pretty new at this.

Hi,
Try this
PV = COUNTX(FILTER('IScout_154689',(('IScout_154689'[S01_05]="Non-Commercial Vehicle")||('IScout_154689'[S01_05]="Commercial Vehicle")) && 'IScout_154689'[S06_06]="YES"),'IScout_154689'[Report_number])
Hope this helps.

Give this a try, see if it returns what you need.
PV =
CALCULATE (
COUNT ( 'IScout_154689'[Report_number] ),
'IScout_154689'[S01_05] IN { "Non-Commercial Vehicle", "Commercial Vehicle" },
'IScout_154689'[S06_06] = "YES"
)
