How to extract month name and year from date.

Date 17-07-2020

i want to extract like year:2020

                              Month:July

                              Day:Friday

Please help on this .

Use this formula for the month of the year in name:

UPPER(FORMAT((Calendar[Date]),"MMMM"))

For the month number use the MONTH function

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can use following DAX expressions:

Year part = YEAR(ClothingSales[Date])

Month part = FORMAT(ClothingSales[Date], "MMMM")

Day part = FORMAT(ClothingSales[Date], "dddd")

Replace ClothingSales[Date] in above dax expressions with your date column name.
