How to extract all files from a sharepoint library

In a library you can export all content to Excel. This creates a iqy file which can be opened in Excel. Result is a list of all folders and all files (also the ones into folders).

I'm trying to eliminate Excel and get all content directly into Power BI. I get to the point where I have an overview of the first 'level' in Power BI (so all folders and files when you open the library) but not all subfolders and subfiles.

 

Can someone points me to the right direction?

    There is a more extensive method that can help you extract some metadata.

     

    You can create a new source of a Sharepoint list and extract the documents table.

     

     

    There you can extract a lot of metadata if you start expanding some fields.

    Give it a try to the Folder Column and expand the record.

      Thanks! This is helping me further, but using this method I cannot extract the metadata that's been added to the documents. Any idea how to add this as well?

    Hi Anonymous, when expanding the Folder Column I cannot find any column that refers to our own customized added metadata
