If I filter out the "waiting" column based on the "true" value I can drill into the records and get the values from each record with no problem but once I am done and go back to clear the filter all the rows with 'waiting" equal to false are gone. Is there a way to extract data from the records while keeping rows where waiting = false and calls = null?
Thank you

if Value.Is([indx], Record.Type) then [indx] else Record.FromList({[indx]},{"Name2"})
What do you mean? I don't have any input but let me try to explain a different way. If I filter out based on "waiting" - "true" then all my values in column "calls" become "records" and nulls are gone. I can click on expand in the red circle and get all the values I need. When nulls values are there "expand" is not showing as you can see from my first image

thank you
Can you please share your demo input and expected output!
