How to efficiently group 1 column data into 2 group set w/o burden BI because have 1M rows.

I want to make a 2 groups data in 1 column, where one is called "pending" it consist of blank cell and the other one is called "processed" it consists of all the A,B,C,D etc. but not blank. Then after this I can do heirarchy to do drill down for the "processed" group.

I have used the Group by function where 36K rows are OK no issue, but with 1M rows, NOK and it load very2 long.

Is there any other alternative to group this?

Thank you in advance.

SUMMARIZE, SUMMARIZECOLUMNS, FILTER - you would need to explain your scenario more (and provide sample data)  if you want better advice.
