Hi I am really new to this so any help is appreciated..
I am trying to do a histogram and bell curve for a number of serial numbers that is delivered within a given timeframe e.g 30 days, 60 days and so on, and i also have a column where i group them into bins (although not sure how this can help)..
The resultant histogram chart should show 10 serial numbers delivered within 30days, add on another 10 serial numbers delivered from 31th-60th days so it should show 20 serial numbers (10+10) delivered within 60 days and so on...
When i plot my X axis, the result are by days category and not cumulative. Should i create a measure?
Hi Chua89
If you are open to using a custom visual, you can plot cumulative histograms easily. Though the bell curve is likely not supported yet.
For instance, this custom visual on Appsource

Hi Chua89
A custom visual can take care of this problem and show cumulative columns. Although the bell curve would be an issue since I don't see any custom visual with a bell curve.

I think you can get what you want with Bins in your X-Axis and the following measure in your Y-Axis:
Bin Count Cumulative =
VAR _currentBin = MAX( 'Table'[Bins] )
RETURN
CALCULATE(
COUNTROWS( 'Table' ),
'Table'[Bins] <= _currentBin
)
You can then get the below with a few formatting tweaks: 1) sort axis by Bins and Ascending, 2) change X-Axis type from continuous to categorical.
@Chua89 Sounds like a running total.
