How to create a 'total' column for a bar chart?

Hi all,

Hope everybody's keeping well.

I would like to create a 'total' column for my bar chart which shows attendance (attended vs. not attended) for workshops, split by function.

The values are the Count of Location Country.

I have included how my data is laid out, in this graph I've used all columns except "Job Level No and Description".

I am a beginner when it comes to Power BI so would really appreciate any support or guidance on this.

Thank you!

Hi avend23

Please can you explain what you want to count.

You say you want to "workshops, split by function"
but none of these fields are in your screen shot.

We cant import the data from a picture.
Please can you remove any private data and copy and paste test data as a table using the icon next to [HTML].

So we can use it.

Also check that your description of the problem corresponds to the fields names in your example.

Hi speedramps,

Apologies for this. I want to create in the bar graph a total column - currently I have the different 'Group Name', e.g. Buying, Distribution Centre.

I would like a total figure for this represented in the bar chart, showing both 'attended' and 'not attended' just like all the 'Group Name' in the X-axis.

The legend is "Full Attended", the axis is "group name" and the values are "Count of Location Country". I tried to paste the table but it exceeded the characters so here is a part of it below.

I hope that makes sense, please let me know if it doesn't.

Thank you.
