Hello,
I pretty much just started using SSIS due to an uphill task that I must complete and I seem to be a bit lost.
I have two databases one sitting in MYSQL and another one sitting in MSSQL.
On the MYSQL I have a table called users a unique ID, that can be linked up to various tables.
On the MSSQL I have a table about the user info that I would love to link up, based on the unique ID, for example, the user purchases and then create a new table on MSSQL based on the joined data.
If anyone could give me a clear step on how to go about it, or a tutorial link on the same, I'd much appreciate it as I am still stuck on whether to use ADO NET source or ODBC connections on the 1st step.
I would then need to do a visualization of the table on POWER BI.
TIA
As long as you are working in inport mode. They are power bi tables post load and you can refer
https://radacad.com/append-vs-merge-in-power-bi-and-power-query
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-shape-and-combine-data
Assuming you have your two tables already loaded into powerbi you should be able to use the merge as new function in the query editor (top right of home tab).
Select your two tables and the ID columns with a left outer join and it should generate you a new table with what you need.
