How to create a measure between 2 tables when there is a dimension filter?

Hi everyone,

I am hoping to find some help here!

Context:

I am linking Google Analytics to Power BI. I would like to link 2 tables to calculate a metric, but I am facing some challenges.

I have 2 columns of Revenues:

• «Revenues»

• «Product Revenues»

The data is calculated from different levels, but the «Product Revenue» is more accurate.

I want to be able to filter the «Product Revenues» by «Channel», but my «Channel» dimension is linked to the « Revenue » column.

As all of the other dimension and metrics of my dashboard are linked to « Product Revenue », I would like to find a way to filter by « Channel » with the «Product Revenue» metric. Is there a way?

I though of a formula taking the % of Grant total of «Revenue» and multiply it by the «Product Revenue». In other words, the proportions of the «Channels» would be applied to the «Product revenue». (See in red below).

Note: the only column that allows me to link to table is the date, but in this case the 2 metrics come from the same database.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @eberthiaume,

If [Revenue] and [Product Revenue] are stored in the same table, [Channel] dimension is linked to [Revenue], the calculation for [Product Revenue] will also be affected by the [Channel] selection.
