Hi,
So I have two tables and thus two charts. Can I relate/connect two charts together? I tried to relate them through "Manage Relationships" icon in Home tab, but it does not look like they are related meaningfully. Please advise.
Thank you.
Hi @SivaMani
Thank you for responding to my question.
I do not think I can post expected outcome, but basically I want the two charts below to be connected. Meaning if I click on black (B) in 2015 on the first chart, the second chart will automatically show colored themes for 2015 B group. Or if I click on Pink theme on the second chart, the first chart is automatically changing to show Pink theme group in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Does it make sense?
Thanks again.

It is possible, as long as there's proper relationship between those two tables. The related data in the second chart will be highlighted, see Visualization interactions in a Power BI report
What is the relationship in your case? For further advice, would you mind sharing the pbix file. You can upload the pbix file to Onedrive/Google drive and share the download link. Do remember to mask sensitive data before uploading.
Hi @Eric_Zhang,
Thanks a lot for your response. The link that you shared is really good and explains things well. However, it looks like I do not have "Edit" option in the panel. I tried to find the similiar function under the different name. I am using free version, not PRO. Could it be a reason? Does it mean I have no way to set proper relationships between charts? Any ideas?
Edit Interactions in the Desktop is under the Format tab which is part of the contextual Visual Tools
(meaning those options will only appear when in context)
Once you select a chart you'll see the Visual Tools appear and then you can go to Format and Edit Interactions
Also once done editing - click the Edit Interactions button again to deactivate the feature!
It remains active until you click it again and its easy to forget...
If you have many visuals on the page close to each other (or use a black backround)
you can undo by accident the interactions you've set so remember to turn off the feature once done.
Good Luck! ![]()
Thanks for the leads. This is helpful. But somehow it does not work. I put filters on both charts, and if I click on one bar the second chart disappears instead of filtering data. Any idea why?
