How to connect multiple Dataverse on a report

Dear experts,

I want to connect multiple Dataverse instances on a report and merge their data for the report. How should I implement this?

There is only one Dataverse instance here, and I want to connect to other countries' Dataverse instances. It uses different users, how can I to add a new Dataverse connection for the report?

Hi @EthanHu ,

Thank you for engaging with Microsoft Fabric Community.

To connect to another Dataverse environment using a different credential, you will need to clear the cached credentials for the existing Dataverse connection in Power BI Desktop. Please follow these steps:

  1. In Power BI Desktop, go to File > Options and settings > Data source settings.

  2. Find the existing Dataverse connection (typically the environment URL).

  3. Select it and click Clear Permissions.

  4. Close the dialog and use Get Data > Dataverse, and enter the full URL of the new environment in the Advanced options.

  5. You will now be prompted to sign in again. Enter the credentials for the new Dataverse environment.

Repeat the above steps for each Dataverse instance you want to connect to.

For enabling scheduled refresh in Power BI Service after publishing the report:

  1. Open the workspace where the dataset was published.

  2. Select the dataset(semantic model), then click on Settings.

  3. Under Data source credentials, update or enter the appropriate credentials for each Dataverse connection.

  4. Scroll to the refresh section, turn it On, and configure the frequency and time.

  5. Save the changes.

This will ensure each connection uses the correct credentials and that refresh occurs as scheduled.

Hi @Akash_Varuna,

Thank you for your reply.

When I click to connect to Dataverse in Power Query, it will log in directly without me entering a new credential, how can I add a new connection for Dataverse?

By the way, may I ask how to enable scheduled refresh and if it's possible to capture some images so that I can easily locate the settings.

Hi @EthanHu  You connect to each Dataverse instance separately using new queries in Power BI, providing different URLs and credentials. Then, merge or append these queries in Power Query Editor based on common fields. After publishing, set up credentials for each source in Power BI Service to enable scheduled refresh.
