How to connect Power BI Desktop to cloud data base that requires a remote connection

I am new to Power BI.  Involved in an SaaS ERP implementation.  I have a remote connection to the ODBC data base that I established on a remote instance of Excel that is in the same cload source as the ERP.  How can I connect my desktop BI to the ODB data base?  Ultimately, looking to be able to schedule auto-refreshes for the dashboards created.  Thanks.
