How to change the meter visual in Power BI?

Hi Power BI community

I want to update the visual for a power Bi rapport, but I have two problems with the meter.

1. I cannot change the font of the cardvalue to anything but the standart fonts. Can I somehow add a diffrent font here with a json file? I can add unique fon't to all other visuals with a json file.
2. Is their a way to change the color of the last part of the meter visual that is black in the illustration? I cannot seem to find it.

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi @ThomasWeppler ,

Based on the above scenario :
Custom fonts in Power BI are generally limited, and while you can use a JSON file for some visuals, meter visuals may not support custom fonts. For changing the color of the last part of the meter visual, check the formatting options in the Visualizations pane, as there may be settings for color adjustments that are not immediately obvious.

Custom Fonts in Meter Visuals

  • Unfortunately, meter visuals in Power BI do not support custom fonts through JSON files. You can only use the standard fonts available in Power BI for the card value. While other visuals allow for more flexibility with custom fonts, meter visuals are restricted to the default options.

Changing Color of Meter Visual

  • To change the color of the last part of the meter visual:
    • Go to the Visualizations pane.
    • Select the meter visual you want to modify.
    • Look for the Format section.

The color at the end of the meter visual is by "thirdLevelElements": in the visual design, so I just changed this and got the right color here. So my only problem now is how I change the font to something beside the standart.
