How to calculate the difference between two card values no matter the source of the card values

I have 2 card visuals with different values.  Is it possible to create a simple math forumla using those two card values and putting the answer in a 3rd card value without manipulating rows and or columns in the data source and going to a ton of trouble?

The 2 card values are coming directly for a SQL server if that helps.

Thank You.

Hi @NSain1 ,

It is indeed possible.

It is a very common practice to reference between measures.

If you encounter problems during the implementation, you can provide a sample data and tell us what you want to calculate.

So I understand how to create measures, but the datasets currently have no relationship so using measures isn't going to work at this point.  Back to my original question.

I need to perform a basic math calculation using the numbers in 2 cards.  Assuming measures will not work based on what I said is there another way?

Thanks

Hi @NSain1 ,

Please give us a sample data model and show us what you want to calculate.

yes, by creating 3 measures.

The first 2 for populating the 2 cards, the third that reference the first 2.

Without additional details it's impossible to know what kind of calculation you'll need, so if you post some additional detail it might help.

OK.  I'll try that and report back.  Thank You!
