How to calculate TOTALYTD for users registered in May

Hi All,

Can anyone help with DAX to calculate Total Year to Date for May'20 (I have Report Date slicer) but only for customers who have register status in reporting month. Client want to count all prior months sale even if customer was not registered on the begining of the year, and we should disregard customers sale who are not registered in reporting month.

Here is example data set and expected result for May'20 TOTALYTD sale = $500

My date table/date field is:  dim_calendar[date],  and 'f_sale' table as below:

Any ideas will help.
