How to bring in multiple excel files once available and merge into a single table

Hello,

I'm trying to build out a Power BI dashboard for a team I support.  The team I'm supporting currently has an excel file that automatically drops into a shared folder.  Once per day, every day, a new version of this file is dropped to that same folder.

For example, the file is named BIG_DATA_FILE_YYYY_MM_DD

- With the 'YYYY_MM_DD' portion of the name reflecting the date the file was created.

My question is:

Is it possible to build a Power BI report where Power BI pulls in all the files that currently exist...and then continues to pull in the newest version(s) of the files moving forward once refreshed/once a new iteration of that file is available?

Also, for ease of use, I'd like Power BI to combine all of the files in to one "table".  In other words,if I were to open Power BI tomorrow morning and refresh the data; I'd like all of the files to be merged in to one "table".  Then, on the following day, I'd like Power BI to bring in the newest version and combine those rows/results into that same table.

Of note, this file's columns do not ever change.  The file has the same 12 columns.  The only thing that changes is the quantity of rows.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Power BI always performs a full load.

But you can load a complete directory as a table.

Look at this.
