How to avoid using unique references

Hi all,

I am currently trying to link some Budget numbers to some actuals numbers in Power BI.

I have set up links into Dynamics from Power Bi and downloaded 5 queries that contain all the information I would need to match a Budget number to an actuals line (date, job code, cost name etc etc).

I tried creating a column with a unique reference in using the other column values but still cant get the budget to flow in using lookupvalue in DAX.

Does anyone have any ideas what I should be doing to feed the data in?

Many thanks,

Tom

Usually you don't want to link fact tables. Instead, control both fact tables via common dimension tables.
