How to automatically get notified when a new version of Power BI Desktop is available?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum category for this.

I'm trying to automatically get notified when a new version of Power BI desktop is released.  Is there a way to do it?

My IT Team doesn't use the desktop application frequently enough to notice the popup in the desktop app itself that a new version is available.  We could rely on someone emailing and telling them so that they can update people's computers but would prefer for them to receive the notification automatically somehow.  What could  we use as the "trigger" or "indicator" that a new version is available?

There's probably many ways. I keep an eye on the blog using feedly.
