How to apply UK date format (dd/mm/yyyy) in Date slicer?

I have a client from UK.

My client needs date in the slicer in form of "dd/mm/yyyy" format.

I checked the Power BI OOTB date format. There is no option for "dd/mm/yyyy" = 15/12/2018

Also, even if we change date format, slicer does't take effect of newly created format.

How to achieve this requirement?

I have already fried following steps:

Change Regional settings:

Change the Locale in Advanced Editor.

Still date format in date picker not changed.

The Sample Data Source file and Power BI File - Download Here.

hi, @Dhruvin

Based on my test, the date format of date slicer is based on local computer region setting.

For example:

In your pbix file.

so you may try to change the region setting for the computer.

@v-lili6-msft: When I publish the report the changes are not reflected in Power BI service, but it works in Power BI Desktop.

You can change the Locale to UK in the Power BI Desktop file ->options and settings -> Options ->In the current file -> Regional Setting
