How to add parameters to a table that get's its data from a PowerBI dataset - not sure where to post

This must be simple - I have created a table following the instructions to get my data from a PowerBi dataset.  But, when I add any parameters, they do require input but they don't actually filter anything.  What am I doing wrong? This can't be that hard!

Hi @abbeyainscal ,

Based on my test, it is not possible to create parameters in a report with Power BI dataset as the data source. Because its connection mode is live connection, you cannot open power query to create parameters.

So actually Stephen, it can be easily done with a PowerBI data set as the data source....message me if you want to see.

Hi @abbeyainscal

It sounds simple like you said but it is not clear what the issue is! what parameters are you talking about? Do you want to implement the RLS (Row Level Security)?
