How to add connector Lines in Donut Chart

Hi Power BI community!

I’m trying to enhance a donut chart with two key features:

  1. Connector lines between data labels and segments.

  2. Bold value labels for better readability.

What I’ve tried:

  • Native Power BI donut chart: Supports bold labels but lacks connector lines.

  • MAQ Ring Chart: Offers more customization but doesn’t allow bold data labels

Is there a custom visual that supports both features? Or is there a workaround to enable these in the standard visuals?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated—thanks in advance!

Hi Elena_Kalina,

We sincerely appreciate your inquiry raised through the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Based on my understanding, no visual available on AppSource fully supports both features with direct control over font weight on labels and connector lines.

As suggested by @wardy912 , we may use the xViz Advanced Pie and Donut Chart for connector lines, where customization of label position, font size, and color is possible. However, bold formatting, i.e., font weight adjustment, is not directly supported.

Since no visual presently satisfies both requirements such as connector lines and bold labels and if this functionality is essential, you may kindly consider submitting a feature request for its inclusion in Power BI through the link: Fabric Ideas - Microsoft Fabric Community

We hope this information will assist in addressing your concern. Should you have any further queries, please feel free to reach out to the Microsoft Fabric community.

Thank you.

@wardy912 Thank you for your attention to this issue and your willingness to help. I'm still unable to locate the bold font setting in this visual - could you please point me to where it might be located?
