How to add Roles

Greeting  , 

 

im kinda new to Power BI , im trying to add roles in my project , So to make it simple for you  to understand what im trying to make i will share a little example of what im doing. 

 

im working with HR data , i got 2 roles : HR director  and talent developer . what im trying to achieve that when an HR director connect to the application i want him to see only the offers  related to his branch ( i have a field named Branch ) any trick of how to add this in my project and if there is a documentation i can follow !

HI @Ramyzo ,

You can refer to the below link to know how to create RLS role based on username.

RLS with UserName() 

You can create a user mapping table to map username and user role, then you can find out correspond user role based on current user name and apply RLS filter on user role field to enabled filter effect. (these filter effect will apply to other tables by relationship keys)
