How to Select a value in a slicer based on Another Slicer selection?

I have Slicer 1 with values A,B,C and Slicer 2 with vlaues D,E,F. 

If I select A or B from Slicer 1 then Slicer 2 would be defaulted to D with the Selection (not as a option to select, bydefalut the value D should get selected upon selection of A or B from Slicer 1). Is it possible?

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you want to filter D in the second slicer, you can create a dimension table to indicate the logical like this:

Then make relationship between the two tables and the dimension table with both direction.

Then it works fine.

If you also want D to be selected in the slicer, I'm afraid you can't. Slicers can only be selected manually, it's by design.

Basically I have Slicer 1 with 3months,6months, 5yrs values. Slicer2(created using field parameter) has Year and Month. So If I select 3months, 6months then Month should get selected by default so the X-axis would have Month values. Similarly If I select 5yrs then Year should get defaulted and X-axis should be having years on X-axis rather than months.

Slicer 2 concists of D,E,F. But upon selection of A or B from Slicer1,2nd Slicer should should have the selected value as D.So that the visual would change according to the D value.

Are they from same table or from different table columns?

What is the relationship between them if they are from different tables?

these are from two different tables and relationship is many to one.

It has D, E,F. But D should be selected automatically upon Slicer 1 Selection (with A or B Values)
