How to Change Data Sources for Existing Power BI Reports (Dataverse)

I created a POWER BI report with dataverse in environment A.

I want to change the source of POWER BI report to DATAVERSE in environment B.

Environment B is a copy of environment A, so the DATAVERSE structure is the same.

Below is the POWER BI data source setting,

but I can't see the other environment's DATAVERSE. What should I do?

You do that in the Power Query code, not in that screen.

Hi @HJK

@lbendlin Thank you very much for your prompt reply!

I found your post when I was checking the posts in our community, has your problem been solved? If not yet, here I provide some details :

Open your Power BI report in Power BI Desktop.

Go to the Transform data option.

Select Data source settings.

You will see a list of all the data sources used in your report.

Select the data source you want to change.

Click on Change Source.

If you’re unable to see the other environment’s Dataverse in the data source settings, it might be due to permission issues or the environment not being properly linked to your Power BI service.

Ensure that you have the necessary permissions and that the environment B is correctly set up to be accessible from Power BI.

Nono Chen

You do that in the Power Query code, not in that screen.

"Change Source" button is disabled. not sure how to enable this.
