How to Calculate Prior Month to Date Sales?

My Current Month Calculation works correctly.

Current Month Sales =

 TOTALMTD('Billed Orders'[Billed Net Product Sales], 'Billing Date'[Billing Date])

I cannot calculate Prior Month to Date accurrately. I do not have a calendar table, just a billing date table.

Previous MTD Sales =

CALCULATE(

    [Current Month Sales],

    DATEADD(

        FILTER(

            'Billing Date',

            'Billing Date'[Billing Date]<TODAY()

        ),

        -1,

        MONTH

    )

)

    FILTER(

        'Billing Date',

        YEAR('Billing Date'[Billing Date]) = YEAR(TODAY()) &&

        MONTH('Billing Date'[Billing Date]) = MONTH(TODAY()) - 1 &&

        DAY('Billing Date'[Billing Date]) <= DAY(TODAY())

    )

)

I also tried this but it calculates the full month. I do not have a date table.
