Hi all,
If our company requires 1 or 2 people to be able to create and share reports, and 10-20 people to share the reports with (view only); am I correct in thinking that this is possible with just 2 PBI Pro accounts for the creators? With those only viewing reports able to use free accounts. I want to plan subscribe long term.
Can you give me th cost of that?
Many thanks.

Hi @Rothmny
To create and share reports in Power BI, all users—both report creators and viewers—must have a Power BI Pro license. Users with free accounts cannot view shared reports.
**Another option is Power BI Premium Capacity, which allows sharing reports with users who do not have a Pro license. However, this solution is intended for larger organizations and is not cost-effective for a small number of users like in your case.

Power BI free accounts cannot view reports shared from a Pro account or Premium workspace. You'd need Pro licenses for the viewers unless you're using Power BI Premium capacity, which allows you to share with non-Pro users.
If you're looking for a more cost-effective solution, Datatako is a great alternative. It enables you to share Power BI reports without requiring Pro licenses for each user. This could significantly reduce your costs while still allowing everyone in the company to access the reports.
