In my data model I have my date formatted from this "3/4/2024" to this "03/04/2024". 2-digit day, 2-digit month, 4 digit year.
I want to display the date in the visual as "03/04/2024", not that stupid date hierarcy with seperate colums for each. Converting it to text is no good. Text uses an ascii sort on the visual. No good for a date sort. Is there a way to turn date hierarcy off and display the whole thing in one column?

Thanks. I just now saw another post on how to turn it off in just the one visual and not for all of them, as your suggestion does.
1) Click on the visual on the report to select it.
2) On the 'Build Visual' tab of the Visualizations pane, right click on the Date data item in the Columns section.
3) The right click menu then appears. Uncheck 'Date Hierarchy' and check "Date" instead.
Hi @Dan_at_TWE
You can turn off the auto date hierachy in the current file in File >> Options and Settings >> Options. Under 'Current File' select Data Load and turn off 'Auto date/time under the Time intelligence section.
Hope that helps
