How do end users edit parameters?

Hello,

I created two parameters in my power query editor for ServerName and DatabaseName. I see that I can edit those parameters in my dataset settings under parameters once published to the workspace. Is there a way for end users who don't have access to my dataset to edit those parameters themselves?

Thanks in advance!

@CharlotteB You can do it if you are using DirectQuery: Dynamic M query parameters in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

@Greg_Deckler

I'm looking for a place where the end-user can type in their updated parameter after it's published to the workspace (I have parameters for the server and database name and when I am delivering, I am going to push it to their environment and need them to enter their server name and database name. I don't want to give them the file (I want everything locked down). Any ideas on how to do this?

@CharlotteB Right, that is the purpose of the feature whose link I sent. You publish to the Service and then users can adjust the server and database via slicers. But it only works for DirectQuery data sources.
