Hello again! I ran into a problem with my matrix and am wondering if there is a solution to it. Can provide more detail if necessary. I am also open to using a visual that is not a matrix.
Context: I am using a matrix to display average positive responses of survey data. I have the questions as the rows, different demographic groups as my columns, and the average of positive_responses as the values for the matrix. (For more context, the survey used the Likert scale for responses so all of the answers are numbered 1 to 5. I created a few measures to switch the question to responses to integers and then switch the positive responses, 4 and 5, to 1s and the not positive responses, 1-3, into 0s. So each question has a positive_response sum that is 100% or 0%.) The survey was administered twice, once in 2022 and once in 2023. The questions are the same.
Problem: I would like to keep the year of survey administration at the top of the matrix at all times as I drill down into different demographic groups. As it stands right now, I can only see the year to year change when I drill down into that first level of (Year), but not when I drill into the next level (Gender). When I drill into the next level, the values change to the average of positive responses for both 2022 and 2023 together. I would like to see the year data remain separate, but still drill down into different demographic groups. I've attached some photos with some fake data I created in excel. The first photo shows what the matrix looks like currently, the second photo shows what I would like the matrix to look like. The third photo is what my data hierarchy looks like in PowerBI.
Is this possible? Thanks! Can provide more detail if necessary.
The fourth "drill-down" option in the top-right hand side of the visual should allow you to still see the year and the next value in the heirarchy, rather than using the 2nd or third buttons from the left.
