I have a data set showing the instantaneous throughput rate for a piece of equipment for each minute. I want to display just these values on a line chart without summarizing/aggregating/transforming them. The work is already done - Just stick them on a graph. But instead it gives me a count of the values (no). Or it adds them all together (also no). I tried averaging but that resulted in nothing being displayed. I have made sure that summarization is turned off and they are formatted as decimal numbers, etc.
How can I do this in Power BI? I was thinking maybe I Could deconstruct the data (by breaking it down into a count and subtracting the difference between each entry and then having PowerBI reassemble it back into a rate... But then I stopped myself because that is inefficient and there's no way it could be that difficult, right? Help me ObiWan Kenobi et.al. You're my only hope...
Geez that came out badly formatted (chalk it up to this being my first time poster). I want to plot the actual count per minute vs the time stamp. Also the average rate vs the timestamp. Timestamp increments by one minute.
I thought I might be able to do this by creating a calculated column where I combine the date-hour-minute and then have it aggregate the values based on that column. But htat seems...ineligant. I also thought of doing the same sort of thing but at a per hour level.

@amcooper If this is what the requirement is, then I can help you.
After uploading the table, be sure to change the data type of actualcount and averagecount to number(whole/decimal). Also change the format of Timestamp to date/time.
What can also be done for multiple date values is to add the day from date hierarchy of Timestamp to Small multiple.
Wait, are you saying that my formatting is the problem? I am such a n00b... I'm going to fix this right now and see if that corrects the problem.
Share a about 10 to 15 rows of sample data that is being applied to the visual in a tabular format. If sharing is not possible, send a screenshot of the issue.
