Hi folks,
I'm new to using Power BI and have come across an issue that I'm hoping you can help me with.
I've created a report for our UK business unit and have added a slicer to allow the department heads to view the visuals for their respective departments.
Is there a way I can get the slicer applied to change text I have in a text visual so that it only shows the commentary relevant to what has been selected on the slicer?
I saw from a previous post on the forum that it was best to have a separate table with the commentary in it which is how I have set the report up but I'm struggling to get the slicer to apply to the text visual despite there being common columns in all tables.
Appreciate any advice/suggestions. Thanks in advance 🙂

Read about Smart Narratives - that is text that can be influenced by filters.
Thanks so much for your suggestion. I truly didn't know where to look for ideas on how to do this and my Google searches to date haven't been successful.
