Hey everyone! I'm a traditionally a Tableau user, but am trying to open my mind to the efficacy of PowerBI. Part of this learning journey includes identifying what the PowerBi equivalents are for certain Tableau features.
I've hit a wall and need your help!
Okay so using the Superstore dataset, I am trying to figure out how to 'alias' the values of the 'Segment' field in PowerBI. In Tableau, you simply right click on the field you'd like to add aliases for and add the aliases.
Can PowerBI do this? Or do I have to use PowerBI's 'groups' feature to achieve this?
Note that using the groups feature will create a new column whereas aliasing simply replaces the values for that field in the visual. I would prefer to not have to create a new column every time I want to alias a few values within a field.

You can use Power Query in Power BI to replace values in a field. This won’t create a new column but will replace the values directly in your data.
Go to the "Transform Data" (Power Query editor) -->> Select the column (e.g., "Segment") -->> Select the column (e.g., "Segment").
