“How can I search for both text and numbers in a slicer?
For example, when I search for text starting with ‘Aluminum,’ it lists all values starting with ‘Aluminum.’
However, if I add a number, such as ‘Aluminum 1015', the slicer does not show any results.”

Hi,
Thank you so much! It’s a fantastic solution. However, it’s important to note that it’s not free; we need to obtain a license for this visual.
Hi @Target
The main reason is not that it can't search for text and numbers at the same time, but that it can't search for discontinuous text. Some custom visuals like Text Filter and Text search slicer don't support search for discontinuous text either.
Based on my test, a custom visual Hierarchical Filter / Slicer - xViz allows you to search for discontinuous text. You can use it as an alternative.
Best Regards,
Jing

Hello,
I had this problem this morning. I used this reference to make a custom colomn.
Creating a slicer that filters multiple columns in Power BI
I use a text filter visual as well.
Hope this helps

Hi,
i have tried few custom visuals, but unable to search by number.is there a DAX measure to find this?(or)any other ways?
Hello @Target ,
Search option on top of a slicer will perform only in that way (like you have to provide entire name in the same order). If you want to use text and number search then try SEARCH CUSTOM VISUAL. It may help you.
