How can I reference a column in a DAX variable table in a LOOKUPVALUE function?

So I have this DAX formula below.  In the LOOKUPVALUE function I need to lookup the values in the Ticker column in the variable InvestmentMixTable.  This syntax doesn't work InvestmentMixTable[Ticker].  I am trying to reference a column in a table variable.  How is this done?  Thanks in advance.

=

VAR CurrentYear = Custom_Mix_Tbl_Annual_Return[Year]

VAR InvestmentMixTable = FILTER ('Custom_Mix_Tbl Unpivoted',[Investment Mix] = Custom_Mix_Tbl_Annual_Return[Name])

RETURN

Iferror(SUMX (

InvestmentMixTable,

LOOKUPVALUE (

Appended_Historical_Annual_Returns[Annual Return],

Appended_Historical_Annual_Returns[Ticker],

InvestmentMixTable[Ticker],

Appended_Historical_Annual_Returns[Year],

CurrentYear

)

* [Value]

),Blank())

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

So are you saying to replace the lookupvalue completely?  Or do this...

Maxx(Filter( InvestmentMixTable),[Ticker]))

The Ticker column is Text.  Don't know if that matters.
